The renewal directive applies only to CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Linux+, CompTIA Cloud+, CompTIA PenTest+, CompTIA CySA+, and CASP+. If additional certifications are added, candidates who aspire to these certifications will be informed of all the effects of the renewal policy. As a non-profit association for the information technology sector, CompTIA reinvests the money earned in new programs that will serve the sector and people working in information technology. This certainly applies to our certification programs. The process of developing and running high-stakes certification tests involves considerable costs in time and resources. Similarly, the development and day-to-day management of our continuing education program comes at a cost. The dollars paid for our certification tests will be brought back into the industry in the form of new certification offerings and continuing education options for IT professionals. Continuing education includes the renewal of certifications, the candidates` code of ethics and the results of the audit as part of the continuing education program. 1.4. “CompTIA Program” means any of the certification programs offered by CompTIA. 6.3 A test finding that it is contrary to the new directive is invalidated and the candidate may be subject to a period of prohibition. 14.2. Changes. CompTIA may revise the terms of this Agreement from time to time.
