Uk Trade Agreements

The United Kingdom has indicated that it should be treated as a Member State of the European Union during the transition period for the purposes of ongoing WTO disputes to which the European Union is a party. For more information, see document WT/GC/206 and the note verbale (WT/LET/1462) of the European Union, which informs WTO members that the United Kingdom is treated as a member State of the European Union for the purposes of the relevant international agreements during the transitional period. As of 31 October 1, 2020, the UK had concluded 24 trade agreements with 53 countries, some using an appropriate approach to quickly replicate existing agreements between the EU and these countries, citing only these minor areas of differentiation (which reduced some agreements to around 40 pages from the original 1400 agreement).
